Welcome to Terrace Inn in Bayview!

If you’re the nostalgic type, you’ll appreciate the beautiful Victorian surroundings, charm and quaint cottage comfort of our turn of the century Inn.  Our on-site restaurant serves fresh, delicious house made cuisine daily in season and weekends off-season.   A well-stocked bar offers over 100 wines, bottled beers, and cocktails.  Bay View, a Chautaqua community established in 1875, hosts summer music programs within walking distance from the Inn June through August.  November to May, cottagers close up, while the Inn stays open.  Many visitors prefer the quiet fall and winter months, and there is always something to do no matter the time of year.  Saturdays in January and February, an old-fashioned horse drawn sleigh pulls up to the Inn for 1/2 hour rides.  Diners and Lodgers receive 1/2 off their ticket and a good time is had by all.     The Inn has 37 rooms on 3 stories.  There is no elevator, so main floor rooms are advised for those with difficulty managing stairs.

Our cozy,  quaint rooms remind one of stays at Grandmother’s cottage.  Each has a private bath, shower, hairdryer, flat screen TV with cable, and 1 queen or 2 twin size beds and are most economical.

Deluxe rooms have full bath, some a King or Queen bed, while suites have either 1 queen or 1 king and differ in size of bed and jet tub.  Maid service is provided daily and breakfast comes with your room. 

Depending on the day and season, you‘ll find home made scones, coffeecake, sweet breads, yogurt, fresh fruit, jam, waffles and assorted toppings.  A hot dish is available weekends and occasional weekdays.  The buffet is 8 a.m.to 10 a.m. in our Dining Room.  If you wish to take a tray or coffee to your room, you may do so.  There is no time schedule at the Terrace Inn!
