Dining

The Terrace Inn's restaurant is open daily in-season from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. (Sunday and Monday are Pizza nights, Tuesday through Saturday, full dinner menu). The restaurant has a full bar with an extensive wine, beer and cocktail menu. Michigan wines and beers are included, as well as seasonal specials. Two outdoor dining terraces and one indoor dining room (spacious, elegant and air conditioned) allow individuals and groups to be accommodated. Chef Kevin creates everything in-house from sauces to salad dressings to scrumptious desserts. Ingredients are fresh from the market, grass fed beef from the ranch, oil and vinegars from Fustini's downtown, and herbs from our own garden. Fresh, cooked to order meals take a little longer so plan accordingly. The time is worth it according to our dining fans who clain the Terrace Inn has the "Best planked Whitefish in Northern Michigan. Don't miss it!"

Off-season September and October, the restaurant is open weekends for dinner with a full menu and Sunday night for Specialty Pizza and Sicilian Salad. November through February it is open Friday and Saturday. Our Two Dine Fine for $29 is offered Friday nights and Sleigh Rides are half off for lodging and dining guests. The horse drawn sleigh takes guests through Bay View for half hour rides each Saturday in January and February (weather permitting). Since Bay View cottages are closed, the streets are left unplowed making it ideal for snow shoeing, cross country skiiing and of course sleigh rides!

Hours may vary as we host private events and theme dinners. So please check our calendar before making a dinner reservation. The menu may change according to the market and the chef will often make something special that day. Holdays are a special time whether you come with family, or as a couple. Valentines and New Years are expecially romantic and relaxing, and dancing is optional!
